4 Looks, 1 Palette Using Lorac MegaPro 2

Heeeeeeyyyy!!

So today I'm sharing this video with you. I was brainstorming ideas of looks with the Lorac MegaPro 2 and I was having a hard time. I just wanted to stick in a little corner of the palette.. I needed to break out of the rut I was in with this palette. So I sat down and had a good long look at her.

After about 5 minutes, I turned on my camera and let the creative juices flow, 4 times.... It's a little odd, looking at yourself in the mirror with 2 different eye looks on at the same time. It's also really cool to see exactly how each style makes your eyes look differently!

I'm planning on doing more videos like this, are there any palettes you'd like to see something like this with?? If I own it, I'll definitely try this out!!

I hope you guys enjoy watching this as much as I enjoyed filming it!!

Have a WONDERFUL day, and if someone hasn't already told you today, You are Beautiful!!\

Orange Blowout Eyeshadow Tutorial

Hello!! I was inspired to create this look because fall is almost over (or is over, depending on who you're talking to....) and I'm not ready to say goodbye.... I wanted to get one last fall inspired look up before I dive into Holiday Makeup!!

I am so in love with the way this look turned out!! I think this it, though bright and bold, is still rather wearable! Especially if you have BLUE eyes!! What do you think?

Hope you enjoy!! Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to write or film about!!!

Have a great day, and if someone hasn't already told you today, You are BEAUTIFUL!!!

November Favorites!

Today I'm sharing with you my favorite products from November. I didn't wear a lot of makeup last month, but when I did, I pretty much wore the same thing each time.. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.. But since it was such a small collection of items, and I was truly enjoying using them, I thought I'd share them with you!!

Foundation

I've been LOVING this foundation combo! 110 is just a little too yellow for me, and 115 is too dark, but mixed together, they are my perfect shade!! When I first tried this foundation I was NOT impressed. My Revlon Clolorstay (Oily/Combination formula) held up way longer and looked better. But, I have really come to enjoy this foundation over time. I think when you are trying a new product, you have to learn the right technique that really makes that product sing! I prefer to apply this with a damp sponge, but I've also had good results using a flat top kabuki brush.

I know what you're saying, "That's a bronzer and its shimmery! Why are you using that to set your foundation?" Well, I don't use it to set my whole face, just the arias I'm not quite wanting to highlight, but still want a little something special. This is a VERY FAIR "bronzer," Medium to Deep skin tones can use this as a highlight. I find that this is too dark to use as a highlight, its just a touch darker than my skin tone. But if I apply it shearly, it gives me a radiant "real skin" texture. I have OILY skin, so I have to set the crap out of my foundations. This powder helps to add that extra layer of oil control, while keeping my skin looking like skin.

I have 2 favorite highlighters this month, as you can tell.... I have been using these two interchangeably, and sometimes at in tandem.... Yes, that's right, I double highlight!! I am not ashamed! Any who... Both of these are amazing highlighters! Super glowy and light enough to show up on my paper white skin!

Eye Shadow

I have three favorites in this category...
1: Makeup Revolution Essential Mattes palette. This is an AMAZING all matte palette. There are a few colors that are very similar to each other, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, especially since they are the shades I tend to over use the most... If you like mattes, you'll love this palette, and the good news is, this is in the collection at Ulta!!!
2: The Balm Nude Tude. This palette is incredible! I probably say that about all my palettes... But it’s true! I love this palette so much!! One particular shade speaks to me deep down; Sexy, a deep brown with a lot of red undertones. If a color could be “sexy” this is it!  My only complaint is that there aren't more mid tone matte shades. But that is why I’ve been using my Essential Mattes palette…
3. Coulour Pop Super Shock Central Perk. I have been OBSESSED with this shadow since I got it a few months ago! But in November, I couldn't put it down!! It's so warm and delicious!!!
I actually have a tutorial up on my YouTube channel, using both palettes and the Colour Pop shade!

So, these have been all my favorites from November! What were your favorites last month? Let me know down below!

Have a Wonderful Day!!
And If someone hasn't already told you today, You are beautiful!!

I'm Obsessing Over These Looks!

With the cold weather settling in, I, like everyone else, am starting to gravitate towards darker, more dramatic, smokey looks. My Pinterest account is exhibit one, proving my [unhealthy?... Nah!] obsession.

Look 1, Look 2, Look 3, Look 4, Look 5

1.Linda Halberg is probably the most famous Makeup Artist in the world...(?) If you don't know who she is, you've probably pinned at least one[hundred] of her looks.. She is definitely a huge inspiration to me. Perhaps even a muse?

2. I absolutely can not get enough of this look! I LOVE purple eyeshadows and this look makes them SO WEARABLE!!!

3. This look is so sexy and intense! I can not get enough of gold eyeshadow, but sometimes the gold can tend to fade away or blend too much in with your skin tone. With this look, you don't have to worry about the gold getting lost, because it really pops against that purpley-grey on the outer and inner corners! Also, I'm a sucker for a spotlight, and this is the definition of a spotlight...

4.That inner corner highlight, though!!! Everything about this look is amazing! From the greige ombre lip to the warmth in the crease and those lashes! Lashes-for-freaking-days!!! And lets not forget about her skin... It's FLAWLESS and her contour is on point (I boycott Fleek....)

5.This look is so WARM and golden and makes me want to eat my weight in Caramel (who are we kidding here, I ALWAYS want to eat copious amounts of Caramel...) Literally, if this is not the makeup version of a Yule Tide Fire, I don't know what is...

Holiday Wish List; High End Makeup Edition

Greetings Earthlings!

So today I'm inspired to share with you my top most coveted products of the moment! This is basically what I'm telling my husband I want this Holiday Season... Will he listen?? ;)

1. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Highligher.

Can I just say how BEAUTIFUL this looks every time I longingly swatch it in Sephora.. Also, whenever I see someone on YouTube or Instagram wearing this, I get total highligher envy! And lets not forget the STUNNING Jaclyn Hill! Just her association with this product makes me NEEEED it!! Haha!

2. Becca Afterglow Palette.

I'm having some serious Becca envy right now! While only one of the shades in this palette will work for me as a highlighter, I'd LOVE an item like this to go in my kit! I'd die!

3. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit.

You may notice a theme... GLOW! I have lusted after Hourglass products for YEARS! I haven't seen too many people talk about this one yet, but I'm sure it's gonna blow up, because those powders look AMAZING!!!

4. Gwen Stefani for Urban Decay.

So.. This looks incredible!! What a collaboration!! This palette is just to die for!! I hope to be able to get my hands on this, I'm having serious FOMO!!

5. Tartelette In Bloom

So the original Tartelette is one of my all time favorite palettes, and when I saw the were coming out with a sequel, I was soooooooo excited!!! This one has a twist; of the 12 shades, 3 of them are pearly and the other 9 are matte, where as all 12 shades in its big sister were matte.

6. Too Faced Stardust palette.

I'm late to the party on this one... Well not really, I just wanted to make sure I got my hands on the Urban Decay Vice 4 and the Lorac Mega Pro 2 before I focused on any other palettes this year. The colors in this look amazing. I've seen some really gorgeous looks using this palette, too!

7. Too Faced Chocolate Bonbons.

I already have the other two Chocolate Bar Palettes, so this pretty much already has a home in my collection. I've already seen a few YouTubers who recieved this from Too Faced, and I'm pretty much sold on it!

8. Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze & Glow.

Unless I am mistaken, this looks like the perfect contour palette for fair skinned ladies like myself. Not to mention the packaging is stunning! This is on my dream list for sure... Maybe some day... *Sigh*

My Top 10 Favorite Beauty Gurus

Greetings Earthlings!

So as you can tell by the title of this post, I'm bringing you a list of my top 10 favorite Beauty Gurus!
This list is in NO particular order, I couldn't rank them if I tried!

1. Cora also known as VintageOrTacky:

Her Channel
Why I love her; She's a confident plus size beauty with insane makeup skills. She knows her way around a slightly hooded eye, and comes up with some beautiful, flattering looks for those of us who have less crease than most. I've been following her for years and she never ceases to amaze me!

2. Marlena of Makeup Geek:

Her Channel
Why I love her; She was the very first Beauty Guru I discovered, way back in 2009. I googled "How to make small eyes look bigger" and this video came up. Marlena truly changed my life! I know that sounds dramatic, but I never would have gone to esthetics school if it hadn't been for finding that video.

3. Shaaanxo:

Her Channel
Why I love her; Shannon is amazing with makeup! She's sweet, kind and genuine. She can create a KILLER dramatic clubbing look, and slays everyday makeup looks! I never watch a Shaaanxo video and not come away with some kind of inspiration!!

4. Emily at BeautyBroadcast.net

Her Channel
Why I love her: She represents the "Every Woman" in this world of professional makeup artists. I truly trust and value her opinion when it comes to products, whether I agree with them or not, I know she's just being honest. I always look forward to the Emily Awards every year.

5. Wayne Goss:

His Channel
Why I love him; He's a frikkin genius!!! No joke, just go watch some of his tutorials... He's constantly BLOWING MY MIND, especially when it comes to makeup for hooded eyes!!

6. Laura Vitale:

Her Channel
Why I love her; First of all, I'm a HUGE Laura In The Kitchen fan, so when she decided to branch out and start a beauty channel, I was so happy!! Laura is another "Every Woman" in that she only does "natural" or "wearable" looks. I really trust Laura's opinion when it comes to products she loves/hates, again, even though we have vastly different skin types. Sometimes if she hates something, I'll try it just to see if it works with oily skin, and vise versa.

7. McKenzie Mann:

Her Channel
Why I love her; It seems we have very similar skin types, so I'm very willing to try something if she likes it. On top of that, she is an amazing artist!! Just take a look at some of her Halloween looks from this year... This one or this one or this one. She is incredible!!!

8. Chrispy:

Her Channel
Why I love her; She is another amazing artist!!! Not all of her looks are what I would call "wearable" but thats fine because I'm always inspired to try something new after watching her! And don't get me started on her liner skills....

9. Nikki Tutorials:

Her Channel
Why I love her; She's incredible!! Her knowledge and skill is mind blowing!!! Whether you are looking for an every day look or you're feeling like getting your Drag on, Nikki has it all on her channel!

10. Kasey (AKA StillGlamorus):

Her Channel
Why I love her; I feel like a lot of people are going to disagree with me on this one, but I don't really care. Kasey does a lot of sponsored videos, and I personally have absolutely no problem with that, After all, isn't that every YouTuber or Blogger's goal? If you truly stand behind the products or think that they are genuinely useful, why not make a little money talking about them? That being said, I love her style, her confidence and her honesty. There's no denying, she's drop dead gorgeous, and she knows her way around some makeup!

I follow a TON of Beauty YouTubers and Bloggers, so this it just the tip of the iceberg. I really had to sit down and think "who's videos are the first I watch when I see them in my feed?" This list was so hard for me to come up with, I originally had 20!!! Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this post, it was fun to challenge myself to pick my "Ride or Die" Gurus!

Have a BEAUTYfull day!!!

L'Oreal Ultimate Straight Vox Box

Earlier in the month I received several L'Oreal hair products from Influenster. These products were sent to me for FREE for review.

First of all, for those of you who don't know, Influenster is not an affiliate program, it is a membership, open to anyone who is active on social media. You are not guaranteed free swag, but the more active you are on social media, the more likely you are to receive a Vox Box.

So, in the beginning of June, I received a Vox Box full of a new hair care line from L'Oreal, Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight. Over all, I think that this is a descent hair care line. I personally have no idea if it does anything to prolong a straight style or not, since my hair is naturally stick straight. My hair has no curl, wave or texture, whatsoever. To be honest, I was kinda hoping that maybe these products would help my hair to have a little more volume, as that was one of the claims. But, alas, there is no noticeable difference between these products and how my hair texture is naturally.

I think that if you are someone who tries to keep their hair straight, but has problems, this line is inexpensive enough to give it a try, but, I have no way of telling you for sure if it will work or not.

I wish I were able to give a better review, maybe if they come out with a line for fine thin hair, I'll give it a try and see if it does anything for me. Until then, this is all I've got.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

Do I Really Need To Clean My Makeup Brushes?

All the time I hear people tell me they don't think its necessary, or they don't have the time or patience to clean their brushes.

"It's just my face."

Well, your face gets dirty too... Your skin produces an oil, called sebum, and that can harbor bacteria. You touch your office keyboard, then touch your face, you talk on the phone, and sleep on the same pillow case every night. Yes, you probably wash your face every day, but your skin only stays clean for as long as you don't touch it..

When you touch your face with your makeup brushes, the bacteria and sebum on your face transfers onto your brush. Now your brush is festering with potential infectious bacteria... I know its nasty to think about, but its something that needs to be thought about.. Nobody want's acne, right? You want to do everything in your power to keep those little red demons off your face, right? Not to mention, eyeshadow brushes can really build up product, and eventually, your eye looks will start looking muddy, as the pigments mix. So, why wouldn't you wash your brushes??

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't WASH my brushes every day, I'm lucky to do it every week.. But I DO CLEAN my brushes after every use.

"How can you clean your brushes without washing them?" Great question!!!

The answer: Alcohol! Specifically 70% Isopropyl Alcohol.

I use this EVERY day, usually at night before going to bed, I'll sit down and clean my brushes while watching TV and getting ready to turn in for the night. It takes less than a commercial break to clean all the brushes I'd use for a daily makeup look.

You simply need to decanter some alcohol into a good quality spray bottle with a fine mist setting. Then, all you need to do is lay your brush on a towel, spray the bristles and then wipe the brush on the towel until no more color transfers.

Yes, this can be drying to your brushes, particularly natural haired brushes. That's why I try to give my brushes a nice conditioning wash about once a week.

Whether you've invested a lot or a little into your makeup brushes, you want them to last a long time, proper cleaning and sanitation can really help to extend the life of your brushes.

I hope you found this post helpful!!

Have a fantastic day!!! <3 nbsp="" p="">

Top 5 Products For Busy Moms!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

In honor of today, I thought I would share with you my top 5 favorite products as a busy mom!
These products are all designed to speed up makeup application and/or extend the wear of your makeup so you don't have to worry about touch ups!!

1. Long Wearing Cream Shadows:
My favorite are the Maybelline Color Tattoos, but, I also really like the Rimmel Scandaleyes jumbo pencils, too. With the Maybelline, I find I do not need a primer for them to last all day, however, the Rimmel pencils usually do need to be applied on top of a primer, otherwise my oily lids will eventually cause them to crease.

2. Full coverage BB or CC Creams:

These are easy to apply, and some come with great coverage. My favorite is the Garnier BB Cream for Combination/Oily skin. It has a medium to full coverage formula that sits well on my skin. My only problem is that I can only ever find the Light/Medium shade, and the color is about 2 shades to dark for me, so I have to mix it with a lighter shade foundation.

3. Blending Sponges:

I ADORE the RealTechniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I also have one that I found at TJMaxx, which is more similar to the Beauty Blender in shape. I love to use these, because they make quick work out of blending in foundation and concealer, and you only need one tool to do both. Also, even though they make quick work of blending, you still get a beautiful finish that has no brush strokes or odd textures.

4. Lip Stains, Balm Stains, Chubby Sticks and Tinted Lip Balms:
These are so easy to chuck on in a hurry, and are convenient enough to toss in a purse or pocket for quick touch ups on the go! I really love the Revlon Kissable Balmstains, and The Rimmel Show Off's.

And last but NOT least...
5. Setting Sprays:

My number 1 favorite setting spray is the ELF Mist & Set. I have been using this for years, now, and I have found that when I set my foundation with this, I can blow my nose, and not remove any foundation with the tissue!! The best part about this product is the price!!! It's only $3!!!

These are all products I've been using for years, now, and I can honestly say, I don't know what I would do without them... They are staples in my collection and will be for years to come!!!

I hope you enjoy this post! Leave me a comment down below letting me know what your favorite products are for your "Mom Makeup Routine!"

Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day!!!!
